JCCU #1 early dismissal update: All buses have now departed from Newton Elementary and are en route to drop students off.
Due to the concern of incoming weather, the Jasper County School District is looking to get kids home early today. We will be dismissing as soon as all buses are in place and we feel that it is safe to do so. If you need to make any transportation changes as a result of this, please contact the Transportation Department at 618-783-3023. Please note that the school district is constantly monitoring the weather and may decide to hold students if we feel it is not safe to transport them home. We will provide updates regarding any changes to this.
