It's that time of the year! School registration opens Wednesday, July 9 through Friday, July 18.
Dear parents/guardians,
It is with deep sadness that I inform you about a tragic accident that has resulted in a significant loss in our schools and in our community. On June 28, 2025, two students died in an accident on the river.
Our district is committed to doing everything we can to help our students and staff with the grieving and healing process. To that end, we have counselors available at Newton Elementary School today, Monday, June 30th from 2:00-6:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, July 1st from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
This loss will affect everyone in our school family and in the Jasper County Community. Students may have a difficult time dealing with the loss, and we encourage you to talk with your child.
